Downloads
Click onto Downloads (it’s free) and choose the appropriate Age Verification Policy, either England/Wales or Scotland or Northern Ireland. Simply print it and spend a little bit of time talking it through with all your employees and get them to sign and date it. Then file it somewhere safe. Should you be targeted with a Test Purchase visit you can show the policy to the enforcement officer and help prove a due diligence defence.
Employee Record File
Next, click onto Employee Record File and purchase sufficient files for all your employees. They come in packs of 5 for just £1.95 so it’s not going to break the bank! The benefit is to be able to now record all the training your people have carried out and will do in the future. It’s also a file to record and store their personal details and it keeps everything in one place.
Underage Sales Prevention
Decide how many copies of the Underage Sales Prevention workbook you require. You may wish to purchase one or two to begin with and become comfortable with using them or purchase a copy for everyone. Either way you’ll be on your way to establish the legally required disciplines in selling age restricted products. Add to basket.
Health & Safety
Now take a look at the Health & Safety workbook and hopefully you’ll agree that this too can help. We recommend that the owner/manager or a senior supervisor or an experienced and trusted assistant completes the workbook. Food Safety
If your business has a Food to Go type of operation then we recommend the Food Safety workbook. This is the equivalent of the basic food hygiene award but is a great deal cheaper. You do not suffer the expense of a one day course and salary cost and the loss time spent at store. Add to your basket.
New Employee Induction
Have a look also at the New Employee Induction workbook. If you’re taking on a new employee then this is an absolute must. It will guide you and the new team member through all the important topics and issues that are required during their first weeks at store. Once again it’s a record of training given and offers a defence should something happen.

What are RetailPlus qualifications? RetailPlus qualification workbooks are designed for people working in the retail sector or who are wishing to pursue employment in the sector.
They are developed from National Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) and each workbook prescribes the performance and competence an employee is expected to achieve.
Each workbook represents a unit within the QCF and is worth a certain number of credits.
Employees will gain a certificate for each workbook they successfully complete and can build up their credits by completing more workbooks.
Your employees can simply complete one workbook and bank the credit value, satisfied they have achieved what you wanted and gained a valuable National Certificate.
Those employees that you wish to complete more workbooks will naturally gain more credits. By your employees learning as they go, they can work towards the full Retail Knowledge qualification.
How do we receive the certificate? Once your employee has completed the workbook, and you are satisfied with the standard of their work, and you have signed and dated where necessary in the workbook, you simply compete the Declaration at the back of the workbook.
You’ll then need to return the Declaration to us by post. Once received, we will check that it is correct and if so, we will post the National Certificate to you. We will, from time to time, request that you send us the completed workbook too, so we can verify everything has been completed correctly.
Aimed at all employeesRetailPlus qualification workbooks will encourage your employees to apply knowledge, understanding and skills to a national level and so, prove competence in their job role.
They are job-ready qualifications which require employees to demonstrate in the workplace, skills and knowledge required to perform effectively and to the standards you expect.
What levels are there?RetailPlus qualification workbooks are set at level 2 and have a progressive status as described below
